All orders placed on blueportance.us are shipped internationally from France under the DAP (Delivered At Place) Incoterm, in accordance with Incoterms® 2020.
Please note: Notwithstanding the foregoing, standard shipping costs within the contiguous United States may be included, from time to time, for certain Products, as specifically set forth in Article 4.5 of our Terms and Conditions of Sale .
Determination of Duties and Taxes
For any order shipped outside the European Union — including deliveries to the United States, Canada, or any other non-EU country — customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees, or related charges are determined exclusively by the competent customs authorities and/or the carrier at the time of importation.
These charges depend on the destination country’s regulations, product classification, and order value.
Disclaimer of Responsibility
The final decision regarding the application of customs duties, taxes, exemptions, or import procedures rests solely with the customs authorities of the destination country.
Blue Portance® shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect consequences related to import procedures, including but not limited to:
- regulatory changes,
- customs interpretations,
- additional fees,
- delays,
- return of goods,
- refusal, abandonment, or destruction of delivery.
Customer Responsibility (DAP)
All international orders are shipped under DAP (Delivered At Place) terms.
By placing an order, the customer expressly agrees to:
- complete any required import customs formalities,
- pay all applicable customs duties, import taxes, and clearance or processing fees, without exception.
Refusal or Non-Payment of Customs Charges
If the customer refuses or fails to pay applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees:
- the shipment may be delayed, returned, abandoned, or destroyed by customs authorities and/or the carrier,
- without entitlement to any refund, including shipping costs.
Important Notice for U.S. Customers
Please note that U.S. import regulations, duty-free thresholds, and exemptions may change over time.
As a result, all shipments entering the United States may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and carrier processing fees, regardless of order value.
Any such charges are assessed by U.S. authorities and billed directly to the recipient upon import or delivery.
Recommendation to Check Local Regulations
Customers are strongly encouraged to verify applicable customs rules, duties, and taxes before placing an order, by consulting official sources from their national authorities.
Any information provided by Blue Portance® or via external links is for informational purposes only and does not replace decisions made by customs authorities in the destination country.
